Everything in my Watchlist is incorrect how can this be restored?

  • Thank you for your patience with this migration we are happy to help you investigate any possible issues and make the necessary corrections.
  • Please notify us of your concerns we will investigate. Click: https://globeandmail.happyfox.com/new and select “Category > Investment Tools” and “Investment Tools > Watchlist Inquiry”
  • Every transaction you entered over time is backed-up and we are confident we can work to correct any possible issue you raise.
  • Please note that over-time The Globe and Mail has supported three separate investment tools and it is possible you created a Watchlist in a legacy tool with the same name as the Watchlist you maintained in Globe Investor Gold.

Why do I see a "-new" suffix after a Watchlist entry?

  • Over the years Globe Investor supported several versions of the Watchlist in tandem
  • If you created a Watchlist in more than one tool with the same name a "-new" was added to help you differentiate
  • An example would be "Dividend Stocks" and "Dividend Stocks-new"
  • Click "Edit Watchlist" to change the name or delete
  • Examples of Watchlist tools include Globe Investor, Globe Basic and Globe Investor Gold

Is it possible I am missing a Mutual Fund after you converted my account?

  • The Globe and Mail now uses Fundata to provide Mutual Fund pricing
  • The data coverage with our new vendor is considerably greater but it is possible we don't carry a missing fund
  • Please notify us of this omission and we will investigate. Click: https://globeandmail.happyfox.com/new and select “Category > Investment Tools” and “Investment Tools > Financial Data Inquiry”
  • Note: only Canadian Mutual Funds are supported

How do I access the My Shares data I entered into the old Watchlist?

  • Log into the new Watchlist
  • View any Watchlist and it will detect if one of your Watchlists ever had “My Shares” data.
  1. If yes = it generates a button on every Watchlist that says “Export My Shares”
  • If you are GU and click button:
  1. System creates a new Portfolio called “My Shares Portfolio”
  2. System seeds the Portfolio with My Shares holdings and associated lot sizes
  3. If you has same ticker (ex. RY-T) in multiple Watchlists system will sum total holdings (ex RY-T 100 shares x 5 = 500 shares)
  • All holdings are marked as purchased the day the button was clicked
  1. This can be edited to reflect actual purchases
  • You will be shown a pop-up message that says “Your shares have been migrated to Portfolio”.
  • Button disappears from all Watchlists
  • If you are REG (not GU) it is the exact same process but you need to Subscribe

What happens to my My Shares data if I don’t subscribe?

  • Your My Shares data will remain securely in our systems for 6-month, after-which it will be deleted
  • If at any time over the next 6-months you choose to subscribe, your data will be waiting
